Marked Landscapes

This portion of Marked Landscapes is a series of computer manipulated images based upon original engravings by J.G. Heck, 1851. By no means can I be credited with creating all the images found in this portfolio, as Heck was a prolific illustrator and reveals to us what was known of the world in his time. In this respect, I have taken his images and restructured them into my vision of contemporary land use. Except for Wall of China, all of the nine images are re-inventions of his important images.
The theme of land use occurs in my paintings, color photographs and now computer manipulated prints and include:
Coded Cactus
Circus
Landfill
Peaceable Kingdom
Perspective
Mental Pyramids
Early Days
Wall of China
